Willow's Earth Coffee pops up at the Chequers Inn this August with matcha and Boba
August is going to be a delicious month at the Chequers Inn. Willow’s Earth Coffee is officially setting up for weekend service in the garden pub, beautifully managed by the Kentish Garden Pub team. I couldn’t be more excited to bring speciality coffee, matcha and boba tea to one of Sevenoaks’ most charming outdoor spaces and support the Dartmoor Ponies as well (scroll down for more info).
We’ll be serving every Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 1pm, making it the perfect morning stop‑off whether you’re walking the dog, meeting friends, or in true Willow’s Earth style - riding in on horseback.

Speciality coffee
Our 'conscious coffee' range has something for everyone. Expect smooth, rich, ethically ‑sourced coffee that is brewed fresh and served with the warmth and care you’d expect from a small, founder‑run brand. Coffee drinkers will be served the Exotic Kenyan flagship brew but have the option to buy it as well as the Columbian Decaf and Romantic Italian online.
Matcha (with a sweet surprise)
Matcha lovers, you’re getting VIP treatment. The first couple of matcha orders of each day comes with a free Matcha Lindt chocolate. It’s my way of saying thank you for supporting this new part of our menu.
Signature Boba Tea: Mango Burst
I’m thrilled to introduce our first signature boba: Mango Burst. It's come about from my entrepreneurial son who just lives this bright, juicy, summery drink with popping mango pearls. It’s refreshing, fun, and perfect for warm August mornings in the garden, especially for the children. He'll be selling this alongside my Matcha and coffee.
Horse friendly mornings at the Chequers Inn
Willow’s Earth Coffee has always been shaped by equestrian life, and the Chequers Inn is the ideal place to bring that spirit to the community. The team at the Kentish Garden Pub are great supporters of the equestrian industry too and for those who want something other than coffee, come enjoy their 'Pony and a Pint', which starts from 12pm.
The garden pub now includes pony parking areas, where riders can safely tie up their horses while enjoying a coffee, pint, or boba. To make it even better, we offer:
- Free horse treats
- Fresh buckets of water
- A calm, spacious garden setting
Whether you’re hacking out early or finishing a ride through the lanes, you and your horse are welcome.
